Air Canada sectional cutaway on display at TIACA

During fall 2018, PacMin Studio, the special projects division of PacMin, produced a custom sectional cargo cutaway and podium for Air Canada. This unique model would be on display at Air Canada Cargo’s booth at the TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum and Exhibition (TACF) in Toronto, Canada.

Air Canada Cargo’s sectional cutaway is based on a 1/20 scale 787-9 aircraft. At that scale, a 787-9 aircraft model is over 10 feet (3 m) long!

The alternative configuration places greater focus on the interior of the freighter and allows visitors to view the model more closely. Inside, the cutaway has crates and pallets.

Its small footprint also makes it an excellent choice for booths with limited space: It measures less than 30” (76 cm) in length (32”x32” total footprint).

TACF is hosted by the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and was held in Toronto, Canada at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from October 16 to 18. Industry experts and decision makers from over 4,000 air cargo companies and over 300 exhibitors attended this year’s show. The next edition of TACF will be in Miami, Florida in 2020.
