National Research Council CCER Facility Model

Project Details

To support the global trade show debut of the National Research Council, Canada‘s new aerospace testing facility, Pacmin Studios manufactured a high-detail model of the Cabin Comfort & Environment Research Facility (now known as the Centre for Air Travel Research) in Ottawa.

We handcrafted and decorated over 150 individual scaled pieces, including specialized medical furniture, workstations, and a detailed Flexible Cabin Laboratory complete with 46 individual passenger seats and in-flight screens.

Working closely with NRC’s engineering drawings to ensure perfect structural accuray, this striking 1/32 scale model delivered on tight timeline and budget, provided our partners at NRC with a high-impact touring asset that was featured at major exhibitions including the Aircraft Interiors Expo and the Paris Air Show.
