To assist Ford in preparation for the Detroit and Los Angeles Auto Shows, we developed 1/1 scale visual housing prototypes of their electric vehicle charging stations and couplers. When showcasing emerging technology at premier events with large audiences, the physical prototype on display must be indistinguishable from a production-ready product.

With high-precision SLA components, our team integrated operational LEDs and textured finishes to simulate the real-world look and feel of a functional charging unit. These EV charging station prototypes allowed the Ford to debut their infrastructure vision with a high-impact, tactile display, providing audiences with a experiential look at the future of Ford’s electric vehicle ecosystem.
