Pacmin Studios at Farnborough 2026
An exciting week in Farnborough wrapped up in July, putting a cap on months of hard work from the Special Projects Team at Pacmin Studios.
Pacmin Studios was proud to create four unique exhibition models that helped our clients communicate complex concepts easily to everyone who visited their booth. Take a look below at some of the models that were on display with our partners at Farnborough.
General Atomics Full-Scale CCA

General Atomics’ full-scale Collaborative Combat Aircraft was in attendance at Farnborough this year, and our team gave it some touchups to make sure it made its Farnborough debut in great shape. If you’d like to see our past entries about the CCA, you can read more about them here and here.
The CCA is a semi-autonomous fighter designed to fly alongside crewed aircraft. While General Atomics’ CCA program is well developed, the CCA is still a concept that’s relatively new. Most people have never seen one, let alone understand how it would work. General Atomics’ full-scale model closes that gap by making the idea real, giving visitors to their display something to walk up to and interact with.

At Farnborough:
Parker Hannifin Engine Build Unit

Parker Hannifin is a major manufacturing company responsible for creating many critical components for aircraft engines. Due to the complexity of modern engine mechanics, they needed a model that could communicate their contributions in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
The Engine Build Unit solves that, giving people a clear, physical view of Parker’s contributions instantly without needing to understand the engineering behind it.

At Farnborough:
BETA Technologies and GE Aerospace Turbogenerator.

GE Aerospace and BETA Technologies are co-developing a hybrid-electric turbogenerator with the goal of powering advanced air mobility, promising greater range, higher speed, more payload, and lower operating costs. The partners wanted to showcase the complexity and progress of their turbogenerator to let visitors know this wasn’t just a wild idea, but a near-term reality.
At Farnborough, that turbogenerator showed up alongside a real airframe. BETA’s defense arm debuted a full-scale MV250 with its intended source of propulsion, the Hybrid Turbogenerator, right beside it.

Horizon Aircraft Cavorite X7

The Cavorite X7 is a hybrid-electric VTOL with an innovative design. Lift fans built into the wings and canards handle vertical flight, and panels slide shut over them once airborne so the aircraft can cruise efficiently. That transition is hard to picture from a description alone, and Horizon needed a model that could show how the aircraft actually works.
At Farnborough, the model let people see exactly where those panels sit and how the aircraft changes shape mid-flight, turning a hard-to-explain concept into something visitors could understand at a glance. The additional lighting brought attention to the sliding panels as well.

All of these programs solve complex aerospace engineering problems with complex ideas that are difficult to grasp from a description alone. These models turn complicated concepts into something people can walk up to, look at, and understand in the context of the exciting Farnborough Air Show. We’re glad to have played a small part in helping each of these teams tell their stories.
