Pacmin and Rotary Project Shield Produce Face Shields to Protect Local Community
Pacmin is doing its part in the fight against COVID-19. We are partnering with local businesses to produce face shields for health care professionals in our local community.
Together, we will donate 55,000 face shields to St. Jude and St. Joseph Medical Center, and other medical facilities all over Orange County and Long Beach in California.
This is made possible because of a Rotary District grant and the fundraising efforts of local Rotarians. On April 7, 11,000 of the face shields were delivered to St. Jude.
And we want to keep Rotary Project Shield going.
There is a great need for personal protective equipment (PPE) for our frontline heroes. The face shields add another layer of much needed protection while frontline workers treat patients.
Pacmin will continue to partner with Rotary to produce face shields with local businesses as long as there is funding and a need for PPE. As more face shields are made, they will be donated to surrounding hospitals and nursing homes. They can also be purchased at cost for $4 each or $40 for a box of 10.
