Reading Time: 2 minutes

The 2018 edition of the Farnborough Airshow opened on July 16. Throughout the show, PacMin airplane models were there to commemorate special announcements and deal signings. Overall, the show brought in nearly 1,500 orders.

Desktop models were seen at numerous press releases and on the exhibit floor. Precision airplane models customized in each customer’s livery is an effective way to strengthen a new partnership and create excitement while the airline waits for delivery.

Highlights include Embraer securing commitments for nearly 300 E1 and E2 family of aircraft, ALC’s $9.6 billion order for Boeing aircraft, and Airbus securing 60 orders for the newly rebranded A220.

On opening day of the show, Spaceport Cornwall also signed an agreement with Virgin Orbit to potentially support LauncherOne missions. A large 9 foot (2.8 m) Virgin Orbit 747-400 exhibit model was there to mark the occasion.

Next year, the Paris Air Show will begin on June 17.
