Qantas Introduces New Route from London to Perth

Reading Time: 2 minutes

On May 9, Qantas announced plans to develop a new international lounge at Perth Airport and add nonstop service from Perth to London beginning March 2018. A custom 1/50 scale Boeing 787-9 exhibit model in Qantas colors was there to commemorate the event. The aircraft model measures over 4 feet (1.3m) long with a 4 foot (1.2m) wingspan.

Every PacMin model is made using official engineering data and artwork provided by the customer. This extra rigor guarantees each custom scale model is a precise replica of its full size counterpart and assures the logos and colors will be consistent with branding guidelines.

When Qantas invites a PacMin model to an event, they can be sure it is an accurate representation of their brand and airline.

The planned International Transit Lounge will include outdoor seating, a streamlined immigration and customs area, wider range of food and beverage options, and a Duty Free store.

Qantas anticipates the convenience and amenities offered by the International Transit Lounge will make Perth an attractive destination for European travelers. Preparations are already underway and construction is expected to be completed before the inaugural Perth-London flight. Qantas is also working with the State Government and Perth Airport to promote tourism to Perth and Western Australia.
