Boeing reveals their T-X Trainer
On September 13, 2016, Boeing and Saab unveiled their concept for the T-X Trainer* competition. Three other teams are competing in a major U.S. Air Force procurement effort to replace the Air Force’s T-38 Talon jet trainers.
The U.S. Air Force is expected to make a decision in 2017 and is anticipated to purchase 350 aircraft plus training and support.
Coinciding with the public announcement, a 1/4 scale exhibit model commissioned from PacMin traveled to the AFA Air, Space, & Cyber Conference at National Harbor, Maryland to generate awareness for their bid.
The 1/4 scale model will continue to be on display at tradeshows and special events.
