ANA’s R2-D2 Jet emerges from paint
This morning, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Boeing welcomed the R2-D2 Jet as it emerged from Boeing’s paint hanger. ANA broadcasted the event live on their dedicated Star Wars Project website.
The 787-9 R2-D2 Jet is expected to begin flights in October this year. Two other themed jets, a 777-300ER modeled after BB-8 and a 767-300 featuring both droids, will also join ANA’s Star Wars themed fleet.
