EVA Air’s “Shining Star” Hello Kitty Jet celebrates first flight

EVA Air celebrated the first flight of its newest Hello Kitty Jet on June 22 at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.

The latest livery, “Shining Star”, features Sanrio mascots Little Twin Stars and My Melody. It also incorporates nearly 30 unique colors throughout the design. A pair of 1/100 scale desktop model were also presented to key individuals at the event.

Aboard the flight, passengers will be treated with a complete themed experience. Over 100 in-flight amenities, ranging from pillows to food, feature Hello Kitty and her friends. Hello Kitty, My Melody, the Little Twin Stars, and their mascot designers also made an appearance.

The latest Boeing 777-30ER brings EVA Air’s fleet of Hello Kitty Jets to seven. Their themed fleet also includes Airbus A330 aircraft.
