Reading Time: < 1 minute

On October 3, China Airlines received their first 777-300 ER (Extended Range). A special ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in Washington to celebrate the milestone delivery.

The aircraft will feature a new cabin interior, designed by renowned Taiwanese architect Ray Chen.

To commemorate the delivery and their long-standing partnership, Boeing presented China Airlines with a custom 1/20 scale 777-300ER Tail Model with an engraved dedication. The model (including the base) stands over 5 feet tall (1.5 m).

The airline has 9 additional 777-300ERs on order, with two more deliveries expected before the end of 2014.
