1+1+1=10? The brand building equation

The Concorde was offered as part of a Collector Series we did only for a short time in 2001 and 2002. In the case of this 1/100 Concorde, we probably produced around 20 units in June of 2002 and we sold them for around $250 each. That is an increase of 472%. Sure beats the stock market.

After several people mentioned to me that PacMin models are auctioned on Ebay on a regular basis, I registered with Ebay in order to be advised when a PacMin model listed for sale.  Was I ever surprised at the results of some of these auctions!

PacMin or Pacific Miniatures has a long history of providing visually dynamic marketing solutions to the aviation industry.  In fact in 2011, we will celebrate our 65th anniversary.  These solutions include fine art, sculptures, exhibits, and unique promotional items that are all designed to help our customers build their key relationships and enhance their brand.  We are best known for our desktop models which have been produced in limited quantities to meet our customers specific needs.  Some of these find their way to Ebay now and again.

To gain attention in the listing, sellers first and foremost promote their models as being a PacMin model, not just a model aircraft.  I see this as evidence of the special cache associated with owning one of our products and that our brand adds value to the item.  We are very flattered and gratified to see that our attention to building the PacMin brand over the years is recognized.  Please view the images to see a few recent results.The Concorde was offered as part of a Collector Series we did only for a short time in 2001 and 2002.  In the case of this 1/100 Concorde, we probably produced around 20 units in June of 2002 and  we sold them for around $250 each.  That is an increase of 472%.  Sure beats the stock market.Now this is a very unique case.  There are other Ebay offerings of PacMin models that sell for much less or receive low bids.

Of course, we don’t recommend our customer purchase our models as speculative investments.  They are to be used to commemorate a special event, build their brand, or to celebrate a relationship.

My point is, when three great brands come together, the results are spectacular, appreciated and recognized.   In the case of the 1/100 Concorde in British Airways livery, you have this mathematical equation and an explanation of the title of this posting:PacMin brand (1) +  British Airways brand (1) + Concorde brand (1) = 10
