Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) X-45 Full Scale Mock-up
This awe-inspiring mock-up was initially displayed at the Dayton Air-show. Fabricated as a collaborative effort by PacMin and several strategic partners, it incorporates an interior steel structure with an exterior fiberglass skin. With a wingspan of 14.93 meters and over-all length of 11.89 meters, this full-scale mock up was the most cost-effective alternative to displaying the actual aircraft. Not surprisingly, it has generated excitement and increased public awareness of the UCAV program.
The Boeing X-45 was originally conceived by the minds of The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), the U.S. Air Force, and the Boeing Corporation. It was specifically developed for strike missions such as Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD), electronic warfare and associated operations.
