PacMin Studio produced this full scale 787 engine inlet for Goodrich’s chalet at the Singapore Airshow. The unique “window” model measures over 12 feet in diameter (3.7m) and five feet deep (1.5m).
Due to its immense size, the mockup can also be dismantled into several sections for easier transport and reassembly.
A special dotted pattern appears along the inside ring of the inlet. This represents the noise-reducing acoustic liner found inside real aircraft engines.
The center of the engine is also hollow, giving attendees a unique view of the airshow’s static display area.
