Precision Castparts Corp (PCC) earned the “Best in Show” distinction at the annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting. In addition to real aircraft components, their booth featured two large scale models and a CGI video produced by PacMin Studio.
The 2016 annual meeting took place on April 30 in Omaha, Nebraska, and attracted over 38,000 attendees. It was the first time the shareholder meeting was broadcast live.
Acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in January 2016, PCC specializes in manufacturing metal components and structures for the aerospace industry and other markets. Since their product offerings are diverse, they incorporated numerous displays and visuals throughout their booth including real aircraft parts, a large 1/8 scale aircraft cabin sectional cutaway model (measuring 5.5 feet or 1.7 m long), a 6-foot wide engine cutaway model, and a “fly through” CGI video.
The aircraft cabin model presented a broad overview of PCC’s structural fabrication capabilities, while the engine model gave a more in-depth look at their engine-related capabilities.
Both large scale models incorporated fully functional spinning engines, a lit interior, and a custom designed lit base.
